The Founder – Our Original Owl

Behind AskSOBI is its founder Brenda Jordan, the original embodiment of this philosophy.

Brenda has always believed in changing the odds of success for businesses. From her early days as an accountant, she saw the same challenge time and time again—business owners struggling to make sense of financial data, relying on outdated reports, and missing key opportunities that could have saved or scaled their businesses.

For over 20 years, Brenda ran her own accountancy firm with a difference. While most firms focused on compliance (payroll, bookkeeping, and year-end reporting) she went further, helping businesses unlock key performance insights that drove real profitability. Her results spoke for themselves: when the 2008 recession hit, 98% of her clients survived and many thrived because they had the right financial intelligence to adapt in real time.

But there was a problem. Scaling this kind of advisory service wasn’t easy. Financial professionals were stuck in transactional work, drowning in spreadsheets, with little time to deliver true strategic insights. Business owners, on the other hand, were left making decisions in the dark, unable to see what was coming next.
